Mary Brown brings over a decade of experience in the clinical application of cannabinoid therapy to her role as CCO of Polite. She studies trends in data and patient responses to help guide medical professionals and patients towards developing a greater understanding of the beneficial impacts of purposeful cannabinoid therapy dosing protocols. As founder of SMJ Consulting, she has focused on sharing her expertise through individual and group cannabis health education, as well as acting in an advisory role to businesses and global governments on medicinal cannabis. Mary is strongly invested in researching the impact of cannabinoids on pediatric cancer patients and believes deeply in advocating for the rights of patients of all ages to secure natural medicinal options. She has co-authored a chapter on cannabinoids in the 5th edition of the Palliative Care and Supportive Oncology medical textbook.

Dr. Sunil Aggarwal has dedicated his career to the application, advancement, and advocacy of medical cannabinology. His leading-edge work continually seeks to bridge the gaps between science, health, society, and policy. In addition to being a physician and scientist, he is also a medical geographer, researching the anthropological and archaeological evidence of numerous natural medicines in different cultures around the globe. As co-founder of the Advanced Integrative Medical Science (AIMS) Institute, he is at the forefront of using cannabinoid therapy and integrative medicine to treat patients living with chronic and serious illness with conditions traditionally covered by oncology, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, pain and palliative care. Dr. Aggarwal is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the Immediate Past Chair of the Integrative Medicine Special Interest Group at the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UW School of Medicine, an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Geography at UW, Affiliate Clinical Faculty, Bastyr University, School of Naturopathic Medicine, and a Faculty Member of the National Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Leanna Standish, ND, PhD, FABNO

Dr. Leanna Standish is a neuroscientist and naturopathic physician, board certified in Naturopathic Oncology. As co-founder of the AIMS Institute of Seattle, and the former director of the Bastyr University Research Institute, her medical career has focused on the advancement of integrative approaches to treating the mind and body through scientific research and patient-centered practice. She has served as principal investigator on several National Institute of Health (NIH) research grants, many of which have focused on the use of plant medicines. She leads cancer research teams and holds an FDA IND for a phase I clinical trial of ayahuasca, a psychoactive Amazonian tea being studied for it’s potential to treat depression, PTSD, and addiction. She holds faculty appointments at the University of Washington School of Medicine in the Radiology Department as well as at Bastyr University.

Dr. Julianna Giles graduated from Bastyr University with a ND and MSc in Ayurvedic Sciences. She integrates her deep knowledge of the phytotherapeutic properties of Ayurvedic and medicinal herbs into her work with cannabinoid therapy and formulations. While her clinical practice focuses on Integrative Oncology and Women’s Health and Pediatrics, she is also trained in mind-body medicine, yoga therapy, homeopathy, aromatherapy, physical medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, IV therapy, jyotish (vedic astrology) and vastu (ayurvedic feng-shui). She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
